Hello! Welcome to kat-pejcino, pronounced kind of like cat-puccino, hence the logo :).

I am a PhD student in the Division of Informatics, Clinical Epidemiology and Translational Data Science at OHSU, and a National Library of Medicine fellow. Before coming to OHSU, I received my B.S. and M.S. in Bioengineering from UCLA. Currently, I am interested in developing and using methods to quantitatively and rigorously evaluate medical AI fairness and trustworthiness.

In my admittedly short free time, I like to do martial arts, go birding, and draw! I also enjoy mentoring undergraduate and high school students to promote STEM passion from an early age. Alongside my scholarly work, I’ll also post general musings in my blog. Whether you are a stats or a bird-nerd, all are welcome!
